Børge Ousland trägt die Diver Norrøna Arctic Night
Im Jahr 2022 brachte der Schweizer Uhrenhersteller Ulysse Nardin in Zusammenarbeit mit der norwegischen Outdoor-Marke Norrøna, die für ihre nachhaltige, hochwertige Oberbekleidung bekannt ist, die neue Diver Norrøna Arctic Night auf den Markt.
Begleitet wurde diese exklusive Produkteinführung von einer Partnerschaft mit dem norwegischen Polarforscher Børge Ousland, einem aktiven Mitglied der Norrøna-Familie.
Børge Ousland – norwegischer Polarforscher
Der norwegische Entdecker und Autor Børge Ousland ist ein furchtloser Abenteurer. Neugierig, selbstbewusst und mutig, hat Ousland als erster Mensch sowohl die Arktis als auch die Antarktis im Alleingang durchquert. Auf seinen Expeditionen zu extremen Zielen zog er fast 150 Kilo schwere Versorgungsschlitten, ertrug eisige Kälte und erlebte Begegnungen mit Eisbären.
1986 brach der ehemalige Tiefseetaucher und Elitesoldat der norwegischen Marine zu seiner ersten Expedition in Grönland auf. Spätere Expeditionen unternahm er gemeinsam mit dem französischen Forscher Vincent Colliard und zuletzt mit Mike Horn.

About the Diver Norrøna Arctic Night
Diver Norrøna Arctic Night, a watch that bears both brands’ iconic logo, DNA and sustainability commitments. Only six months after the launch of The Ocean Race Diver in association with The Ocean Race, the Diver Norrøna Arctic Night is a new black iteration of the most sustainable watch in Ulysse Nardin’s portfolio to this day.
Inspired by the reflection of Norwegian nature that conjures up images of the Fjords and volcanic rocks, the black, gray and white color palette of this watch invokes the deep, dark, ancestral geologic formations that are the Earth's oldest, most well-preserved sedimentary rocks. This new joint project symbolizes both companies’ commitment to safeguarding a future for the planet, starting with the poles. Polar sea ice helps regulate Earth's climate and we know that the warming of polar oceans has powerful implications for organisms living there—and for us. This collaboration is a call to action.
