Frequently Asked Questions

Mechanical watches are complex technical instruments with movements consisting of many small components that require servicing, cleaning and oiling from time to time. Your watch is warranted for two years when purchased as new from an authorized Ulysse Nardin retail location. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear or any damage to the watch as a result of misuse, accidents (knocks, dents, etc) or abnormal/abusive use and lack of care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the recommended service interval for my watch?

We recommend that your timepiece be serviced every 3 to 5 years. The interval between services is influenced by several factors, including frequency of use and climate. A watch that is worn daily experiences more wear and tear on the movement parts and may require service closer to the 3 year interval, while a watch that is worn on special occasions may require service closer to the 5 year interval.

I have an older Ulysse Nardin watch that I would like to send in for service – what do I do?

We have a vast inventory of spare parts for our vintage timepieces and in many cases we can service your vintage watch; such service carries a limited 6 months warranty. However, in some instances spare parts may no longer available. As a first step, please e-mail us the movement number of your watch (any qualified watchmaker can open the watch for you and provide you with this number which is etched upon the actual watch movement). We will send that information to our factory in Switzerland where all vintage repairs are handled and ask that they check their inventory for spare parts for your particular watch. Upon confirmation that spare parts are available, please proceed as follows: Please package your watch carefully (do not send the watch box) and insure the shipment. All repair work is performed on a prepayment basis. Upon receipt of your signed approval repairs will commence. Once the repairs have been concluded and your payment for the repairs has been received, your timepiece will be returned to you.
