The award-winning Freak [ONE] is the purest expression of the original Freak, integrating more than a quarter century of innovation. The Freak’s signature flying carousel movement, where 95% is in motion, displays time with no dial, no hands and no crown. This revolutionary icon is an extraordinary piece of high horology and technology assembled start to finish by a single watchmaker.
FREAK: A REVOLUTIONARY ICON
Conceived by renowned watchmaker Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, the Freak [ONE] is the purest expression of the original Freak launched in 2001. It preserves the revolutionary DNA of the first Freak while integrating 25 years of technical innovation. At its core beats the flying carousel: a one-hour orbital movement carrying the time display — a true haute-horlogerie complication. The Freak [ONE] also concentrates Ulysse Nardin in-house technologies: silicon components and DIAMonSIL (diamond-coated silicon), offering enhanced durability and precision. It also features patented Grinder® technology, the most efficient automatic winding mechanism in the industry, delivering a 90-hour power reserve.

“Great ideas come from dreamers, thinkers and inventors.”
FREAK ONE
With the Freak, Ulysse Nardin experimented with the concept of an engine showcased as an art form, of a movement revealed and featured, enabling the transformation of time reading into kinetic art.
